Conditions We Treat

Our licensed physical therapists have experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and pain conditions.

Educational Information Only: The conditions listed on this page are provided for general educational purposes. This information does not constitute a medical diagnosis or treatment plan. Physical therapy may be one component of treatment for these conditions. Always consult your physician or a qualified healthcare provider for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Spine & Back Conditions

Lower Back Pain

One of the most common reasons people seek physical therapy. PT may help address muscle imbalances, mobility restrictions, and functional limitations associated with lower back pain.

Sciatica

Pain, numbness, or tingling that travels from the low back down through the leg. Physical therapy may help address the underlying causes and symptoms of sciatic nerve irritation.

Herniated / Bulging Disc

Physical therapy is often a first-line conservative treatment for disc-related conditions, focusing on reducing nerve irritation, improving stability, and restoring function.

Neck Pain

Including cervical muscle strain, facet joint dysfunction, and cervicogenic (neck-related) headaches. PT may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and postural correction.

Spinal Stenosis

Narrowing of the spinal canal that may cause pain, numbness, or weakness. Physical therapy may help manage symptoms and improve functional mobility.

Scoliosis

Abnormal lateral curvature of the spine. PT may assist with pain management, postural awareness, and functional strengthening.

Knee, Hip & Lower Extremity

ACL / Knee Ligament Injuries

Pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation for ACL, MCL, PCL, and other knee ligament injuries. PT helps restore strength, stability, and function.

Meniscus Injuries

Conservative management and post-surgical rehabilitation for meniscal tears. PT may help reduce pain and restore normal knee mechanics.

Hip Pain & Hip Replacement

Post-surgical recovery following total hip replacement, as well as conservative management for hip bursitis, labral tears, and hip osteoarthritis.

Patellofemoral Pain (Runner's Knee)

Pain around or behind the kneecap, commonly associated with overuse. PT may address biomechanical factors and strength imbalances.

Ankle Sprains & Achilles Tendinopathy

Rehabilitation for lateral ankle sprains and Achilles tendon conditions — focusing on restoring stability, strength, and reducing recurrence risk.

Plantar Fasciitis

Heel and arch pain caused by inflammation of the plantar fascia. PT may address the contributing biomechanical factors and tissue loading.

Shoulder, Arm & Upper Extremity

Rotator Cuff Injuries

Conservative management and post-surgical rehabilitation for rotator cuff tears, tendinopathy, and impingement. PT may help restore shoulder strength and function.

Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)

Physical therapy may help address mobility restrictions and pain associated with frozen shoulder through manual therapy and progressive stretching.

Tennis & Golfer's Elbow

Lateral and medial epicondylalgia related to repetitive arm use. PT may address the underlying tendon loading issues and related muscle imbalances.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Wrist pain, numbness, and tingling from median nerve compression. PT may include nerve gliding, splinting education, and ergonomic guidance.

Shoulder Labral Tears

Conservative management and post-surgical rehabilitation for labral injuries. PT focuses on restoring stability, strength, and functional shoulder mechanics.

Wrist & Hand Injuries

Including fractures (post-casting), ligament sprains, and tendinopathies. PT may assist in restoring grip strength, dexterity, and functional use.

Neurological & Other Conditions

Post-Stroke Rehabilitation

Physical therapy may assist in restoring motor function, balance, gait, and independence following a stroke. Best outcomes typically result from early intervention.

Balance Disorders & Vertigo (BPPV)

Vestibular rehabilitation for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), dizziness, and balance dysfunction. Includes repositioning maneuvers and balance training.

Arthritis (Osteoarthritis)

Physical therapy may help manage arthritis symptoms — reducing pain, improving joint mobility, and building the strength needed to protect affected joints.

Pre-Surgical (Prehab)

"Prehabilitation" physical therapy before surgery may help strengthen the area, improve mobility, and prepare the patient for a smoother post-surgical recovery.

Work-Related Injuries

Physical therapy for musculoskeletal injuries sustained on the job, including repetitive stress injuries, lifting injuries, and other occupational conditions.

Auto Accident Injuries

Whiplash, cervical and lumbar sprains, and other soft tissue injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. We accept Michigan No-Fault (PIP) insurance.
